The TN visa is available exclusively to Mexican and Canadian citizens who will work in the United States in one of the professions listed under the USMCA (formerly NAFTA), with a much faster process than other work visas.

The PERM process is the step required by the Department of Labor before many EB-2 and EB-3 petitions. The employer must show that no U.S. workers are available, qualified, and willing to fill the offered position.
